Our Partners

The generosity of our partners allows us to carry out our initiatives and achieve our goals.

Executive Partners

BMO has been Plan Institute’s Exclusive Financial Services Sponsor  since 2014, supporting our RDSP outreach work. We are very excited to be working with such a reputable Canadian financial institution and look forward to all that we will accomplish together in the near future.

Vancity put their trust in us before we had a track record. Vancity funded the first Safe & Secure, sponsored Will, Trust & Estate Planning workshops for families and has managed smaller trusts for PLAN families.

SplitMango designed and developed our websites and provides us with ongoing hosting and support. Their generous support allows us to keep our websites current, and accessible at an affordable rate for our non-profit.

Our Endowment 150 program was made possible with generous support from the Vancouver Foundation.

The Law Foundation of BC has supported numerous Plan Institute projects such as Safe & Secure and our Will, Trust & Estate Planning workshops. Their most significant investment has been in the RDSP; A major grant from the foundation enabled us to do legal research, learn how Ottawa works and develop a strategy. In 2008, PLAN made the Law Foundation of BC an honorary Lifetime Member.

The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation has a long history of supporting PLAN & Plan Institute. They assisted us to be entrepreneurial and self sufficient, and one of the core funders in researching and campaigning for the RDSP. Currently, their support is crucial to the work to transform the ability of individuals, families and the disability sector to withstand changing economic circumstances and government commitment.

For many years the May and Stanley Smith Charitable Trust has generously supported several of our educational initiatives including our helpline, workshops, support for our affiliate partners, and more. We are grateful for their ongoing support.

We are very excited to be partnering with the BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS) with our Access RDSP project as well as adapting Safe and Secure: Seven Steps to a Good Life for People with Disabilities for the Indigenous community.

Disability Alliance BC (DABC) is another partner of the Access RDSP project providing Disability Tax Credit support and RDSP through BC. We are thrilled to be working with them.

We work with Ability Tax and Trust Advisors on various initiatives to support RDSP uptake as well as support for families in accessing the RDSP and Disability Tax Credit (DTC).

Together with Prosper Canada we developed the RDSP Calculator and are currently working on the Future Planning Tool. These initiatives would not have been possible without their support.
