6. ONLINE CONDUCT
(a) Misrepresentation of a User Identity
Security measures built into the registered user process are designed to discourage another user from assuming your identity in this Site. Your email address, confirmed by your date of birth, to which we send the newsletters or passwords to permits us to modify a listing (one email address can control only one listing). Despite these precautions, it is possible for someone to assume your identity in this Site if you are not a registered user. If you find that someone has registered using your name in the system, please tell us. Either send an email to the Managing Editor at this Site. On receiving your notification, we will inform the other party, and remove the listing.
(b) Offensive Content
No offensive content will be tolerated on this Site. PLAN Institute reserves the exclusive right to establish and modify criteria for what constitutes offensive content, and the right to remove offensive content. If you find offensive listings, advertisements, or home pages in this Site, please inform PLAN Institute by sending email to this Site's Managing Editor.
7. PLAN INSTITUTE'S RIGHTS
PLAN Institute reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to all or a part of this Site, without notice, for any conduct PLAN Institute, in its sole discretion, believes violates these Terms, any applicable law or is harmful to the interests of PLAN Institute, its Affiliates, or another person.

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes relating to this Site or These Terms will be resolved in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
9. TECHNICAL TERMS
Advertising Networks
Companies that gather millions of profiles of web surfers based on their online habits. Ads are then targeted toward certain visitors.
Cookies
These small files keep a log of where people click, allowing sites to track visitors' habits. Cookies are placed on visitors' computers when they visit sites or use things like shopping carts, web-based mail programs, personalized weather, or calendars. They can also be used solely for tracking preferences and are usually harmless.
IP Address
Every website has an IP address, which is an identifier for a computer or device. A number is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you connect to the Internet. The format of an IP address is a numeric address represented by four numbers separated by periods. Addresses are sometimes used in profiling and ad targeting. The numbers can be from zero to 255. For example, 2.70.123.12 could be an IP address.
Online Profiling
By using cookies, sometimes with personal information, sites construct profiles about what customers do or don't buy, what they look at, how much time they spend in different areas, what site they most recently visited, and what ads they click on.
Opt-In and Opt-Out
Some sites allow their visitors to have choices for how their information is being used. In opt-out situations, the site is free to gather and sell information on you unless you specifically tell it not to. With opt-in, the site will not gather information unless you give your consent.
Personally Identifiable Information
Your name, address, or credit card number and other details linked to your identity.
Privacy Policies
Notices posted on a website, such as on this one, that disclose how a company collects, uses, and shares data with partners, affiliates, or advertisers. They should always be easy to understand and have a prominent place throughout the site.
Privacy Seals
A graphical display on websites which shows that the site has disclosed their personal information collection and privacy practices in a straightforward privacy statement, generally a link from the home page. Sites that display these promise that they are working with third party organizations. The website must undergo careful scrutiny and pay a licensing fee.
Referers
Information that your web browser passes along when you move from one site to the next, use a search engine, or send email. This usually includes such information as the browser version you are using, such as Netscape 4.7. Referers can be collected for advertising purposes.
Registrations
These are found anywhere you fill out personal information in order to download software, sign up for a free service, or buy something online. Usually most fields are optional. A valid email address is almost always required. The data may be sold or shared with other websites or advertisers. Some sites allow users to opt-in or opt-out.
Spam
Unsolicited commercial email sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups.
Third-Party Databases
Companies that gather information such as name, address, phone numbers, and income on many households around the world.
