We are looking for a detail-oriented, open, and energetic Project Coordinator who is inspired by our organizational values and vision. As part of the Projects team, the Project Coordinator will support the planning, implementation, outreach and evaluation for a number of key Plan Institute projects and initiatives. The individual in this role must be able to work well on their own and in collaboration with Plan Institute team members, contractors, and our partner organizations. The individual must also be comfortable offering direct support to a variety of community members over the phone and via email.

One of the main projects the Project Coordinator will be supporting is Access RDSP, a provincial program facilitated by Plan Institute, Disability Alliance BC (DABC) and the BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS), which aims to increase uptake of the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) in BC, and across Canada. This role will also support the implementation of our Disability Planning Helpline, and the Endowment 150 project, which provides one-time grants to help individuals to begin growing savings in their RDSP.

• Understanding of and experience in the family-led disability movement as well as the concept of asset-based community development.
• A personal connection to disability.
• Experience with Highrise, Asana, and Zoom Webinar.
• Knowledge of the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP).

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support various elements of all Plan Institute projects. In collaboration with the Projects team, contribute to proposals and work plans, carry out deliverables, coordinate aspects of completion and final reports to funders.
• Assist in the coordination and administration of Disability Planning Helpline support for individuals with disabilities, families, and professionals by answering questions and referring people to the resources and supports that best suit their needs.
• Complete follow-up with individuals three months after they access Helpline support to assess their situation and offer further support if needed. Please note that this position has a high call volume, and the Project Coordinator will be making anywhere between 30-200+ calls/month.
• Manage the processing of Endowment 150 grant applications.
• Support the Projects team with developing and implementing outreach initiatives.
• Contribute to our government and corporate partnerships projects regarding the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP), including Access RDSP and BMO Referral Program.
• Collaborate with the Plan Institute team on integration of projects into existing organizational initiatives.
• Support data compilation and reporting for all project initiatives.
• Contribute to relationships with partners and affiliates on various initiatives, maintaining relationships and expanding partnerships where appropriate.
• Coordinate volunteer recruitment and manage volunteer opportunities, training, and supervision.
• Support the Coordinator with learning initiatives and administrative support as needed.
• Support the Coordinator with Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning workshops and Webinar moderation, when required.
• Attend events on behalf of Plan Institute to share information on the RDSP or other disability programs, promote the Access RDSP partnership and support available, promote Plan Institute specific services, and foster connections and ongoing relationships with external contacts.
• Participate in and seek out training opportunities for staff, contractor team, and organizational partnerships
• Additional project support as required.
