For more than three decades PLAN has been connecting people who are isolated and vulnerable to caring neighbours and community members. We’ve learned a lot about staying connected in good times and bad times.
As the novel corona virus spreads, life will become tougher for vulnerable people and their families. Many will lose their community connections and become even more isolated in their home. Perhaps the biggest lesson is the importance of being intentional and deliberate in reaching out. Just as washing hands can no longer be treated in a casual matter. Neither should connecting to those who are isolated.
